This notice describes the data boundary for the CLI and for the invite-only hosted service at mcue.ai during the alpha. Last updated 9 October 2026.
The CLI
mcue-cli stores operating state on your device. It requires no account and sends no telemetry. It contacts the hosted service only when you explicitly configure an endpoint and use a network command such as login, publish, or sync.
The hosted service
The hosted service processes authentication identifiers, explicitly published project state, accepted operations, connected-device records, MCP client grants, and the technical metadata needed to secure and operate the service. It is not designed to receive your source repository.
Access and retention
Hosted projects are private to authorized users and clients. Device and client access can be revoked in your account. Project state can be exported as JSON, and project or account data can be deleted from the authenticated interface.
