These alpha terms describe the operating boundary for invited users of the hosted service at mcue.ai. Last updated 9 October 2026.

The CLI and the hosted service are separate

mcue-cli, the command-line tool, is software licensed under Apache-2.0. The hosted service at mcue.ai is proprietary. An account is never required to install the CLI or to use it locally.

Alpha availability

The hosted service is invite-only prerelease software. Features may change, and continuous availability is not guaranteed. Keep an independent copy of important project state and do not use the alpha as your only backup.

Acceptable use

Use the hosted service only for projects and data you are authorized to process. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass access controls, or use it to distribute unlawful or harmful material.
